Flexible Noise Reduction Insulation Jacketing System

The Acoustic Pro™ jacket has been engineered to cater for service temperatures ranging from -40°C to 230°C using a combination of infil materials from 15mm dependent on noise reduction requirements and temperature of equipment. The thickness of the Acoustic Pro™ insulation jacket is typically 25mm to 50mm although this can differ depending on project requirements and specifications.

The Acoustic Pro jacketing system provides all the insulation qualities of our Weather Pro or Aero Lite ranges of insulation jackets with an added acoustic barrier designed to reduce noise levels by a minimum of 40dB. The Acoustic Pro Jacketing range has been independently tested in 2010 at Bradford University in accordance with international standards.

The Acoustic Pro jacket has been independently tested to ASTM E2611 and also to BS ISO 15665 (2003) test standards.

Instant noise reduction with Acoustic Pro

Our standard Acoustic Pro jacket is 50mm thick and will provide noise reduction of between 20 and 30dB for up to 230°C continuously dependent on the frequency of noise. Various other specifications are available dependent on the temperature of equipment, noise frequency and reduction required by the project. Please contact us for further details.

Independent Acoustic Testing
The Acoustic ProTM Jacketing range has been independantly tested in 2010 at Bradford University in accordance with international standards. Tests were carried out to ASTM E2611 test standard and also to BS ISO 15665 (2003).

Case Study - Acoustic Pro Jackets

Required Noise Reduction: 20dB

Project Description:

Following a report carried out by the HSE, Advanced Industrial Solutions were asked to reduce noise levels by 20dB from pipework on the Sheawater Offshore Platform.

Specialist engineers using advanced software surveyed the required areas and conclusively recommended the AcousticPro jackets. These would wrap around the pipework which included varying sizes of bends and tees to reduce noise output by at least the required 20dB. 

A team from Advanced Industrial Solutions were despatched and completed the installation safely, on-time and on-budget.

The full turn key solution

1. Survey

Measurements will be taken on site by AIS Technical engineers as part of a full survey to ensure your product is perfectly engineered and fit for purpose.

2. Design

Survey results or details from Isometric or P&ID Plans are transmitted back to the AIS Technical Design Team via our bespoke AIS Technical 'Technet' cloud based software programme which can instantly generate a precise  quotation and energy saving feedback report.

3. Manufacture

Our detailed and often complex designs are imported directly into our fully automated precision CNC manufacturing system housed within our 20,000sqft fabrication facility. From here a team of dedicated technicians then manage the whole production process.

4. Install

AIS Technical can offer a full installation service by highly experienced engineers. All of our installation engineers are IRATA certified rope access technicians ensuring no area is out of their reach in difficult to reach locations during installation.

5. Inspection

Our team of IRATA certified engineers are qualified to carry out a range of inspections, from visual only through to detailed NDT. They can also undertake any maintenance requirements to optimise performance.
