THE KEY FEATURES OF BESPOKE JACKETING

INTELLIGENT FABRIC LAYERS

1. INTERNAL TECHNICAL FABRICS
Internal technical fabrics and textiles are available in a vast range of different materials to suit many differnt applications, high temperature fabrics, silicone coated glass, silica and teflon materials can be applied as well as specially developed fabrics in order to ensure compatibility with equipment coatings.

2. INNOVATIVE INFILL MATERIALS
Specialist modern materials designed to cater for temperatures from -200°C up to over 1000°C. Proven technologies are used and only premium quality materials from approved manufactures are used in manufacturing. specialist applications can be achieved using materials to provide solutions such as noise reduction, temperature reduction and hydrophobic values.

3. EXTERNAL TECHNICAL FABRICS
External technical fabrics can provide weather protection, specifically within the oil and gas industry when fabrics can be subjected to elements such as UV rays and sea water. Additional properties such as micro porous materials can be utilised in order to provide hydrophobic vapour extraction combatting corrosion issues.

Case Study - Hydrophobic Vessel Jacketing

Location:
Judy Offshore Oil Platform, North Sea

Client:
Conoco Phillips

Project Description:
Survey, Design, manufacture and installation of a vessel approximately 3 metres in diameter by 6 metres in length. Bespoke jacketing was applied by AIS comprising of a 40mm thickness hydrophobic insulation jacketing system. All jacketing joints were sealed with a silicon sealant providing complete thermal and weather protection. The jacketing was subjected to a full deluge test and upon inspection via inspection points within the jacketing the vessel was found to be completely dry. In the event that any liquid was able to penetrate the jacketing this would be drawn away as vapour via a unique microporous ventilation system.

How we work

The full turn key solution

1. Survey

Measurements will be taken on site by AIS Technical engineers as part of a full survey to ensure your product is perfectly engineered and fit for purpose.

2. Design

Survey results or details from Isometric or P&ID Plans are transmitted back to the AIS Technical Design Team via our bespoke AIS Technical 'Technet' cloud based software programme which can instantly generate a precise  quotation and energy saving feedback report.

3. Manufacture

Our detailed and often complex designs are imported directly into our fully automated precision CNC manufacturing system housed within our 20,000sqft fabrication facility. From here a team of dedicated technicians then manage the whole production process.

4. Install

AIS Technical can offer a full installation service by highly experienced engineers. All of our installation engineers are IRATA certified rope access technicians ensuring no area is out of their reach in difficult to reach locations during installation.

5. Inspection

Our team of IRATA certified engineers are qualified to carry out a range of inspections, from visual only through to detailed NDT. They can also undertake any maintenance requirements to optimise performance.
